It’s popular with local riders because of its direct access to the Ocala Adventure Trail, a 47-mile loop trail that navigates one of the world’s largest sand shrub pine forests. The trails are mostly smooth and sandy with plenty of berms and shade trees.
Osceola National Forest
The Osceola National Forest near Lake City is popular with riders who don’t mind getting a little dirty. The more than 100 miles of trails, which were originally old forest service roads, feature a handful of water crossings, so they’re on the muddy side. Overall, the ride is mostly beginner-friendly with few challenging areas.

The Croom Motorcycle Area is found in the Withlacoochee State Forest near Brooksville. The area features about 40 miles of sandy trails winding through longleaf pine and cypress forest. Tricky riders can make use of the play pits, mud bogs and small jumps, while beginners can ride on the graded trails and berms. There’s even a peewee trail for the little ones.
